Raymond Moretti (1931-2005): one of the most gifted and greatest French painters and sculptors of the 20th century. An instinctive portraitist, he illustrated many books, posters and magazine covers (La revue littéraire, Pilote, etc.). He also left monumental artworks all over France, including his renown mural (200 sqm) in the Forum des Halles in Paris and in his hometown, Nice. He has illustrated over 30 French postal stamps. Moretti was friend with Picasso and Cocteau and collaborated with both.
