Georges Braque 'Les Trois Oiseaux'. 1970, silkscreen print, original edition approved SPADEM ADAGP. 80x65cm. Not signed.

Georges Braque (1882-1963). French painter who with Picasso invented cubism and although his styles changed over his life, they were never far from his cubist roots. He had three desirable periods in his career: the Fauve period (05-06) characterised by bright colours; the Cubist period (09-14) which was revolutionary; and a late period of cubism revisitied in the 50's. His colourful prints remain extremely popular, even as later reprints.
