Kino Mistral was born in Milan. He attended the Leonardo Da Vinci scientific high school; then the faculty of architecture. He practised architecture for several years,  before dedicating himself to painting. His major interest is ethnic sculptures and exotic art. He travelled extensively  studying the artistic expressions of different ethnic groups.  He lived in New York for two years, where he got to know  Andy Wharol and Bob Rauschemberg.
