David Inshaw. Born in Wednesfield, Staffordshire in 1943. He studied painting at Beckenham School of Art and at the Royal Academy Schools under Peter Greenham. David then went on to study in Paris. One of the founding members of the Brotherhood of Ruralists, and a key figure in 21st century British art.  He is greatly admired for his pastoral landscapes, rich in mystery and emotional power, while at the same time known for his figure painting, which have great  human warmth and empathy.
